This unique configuration offers a scalable, cost-effective global bandwidth solution that delivers better performance than other Ku-band aeronautical designs, especially when crossing the equator.
Our Narrow Transit Beam Width Means a Higher Gain
Our antenna is half the beam width of the competition, giving it a higher gain, which enables it to achieve more Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) with smaller Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs). The benefit for an airline is reduced power consumption, lessened heat dissipation, and improved Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
Less Spectral Spreading
The narrow transmit beam width of our eXConnect antenna also permits compliance to off-axis power-spectral-density requirements with less spectral spreading than other antennas. In some cases, spreading of the return link may not be required at all, resulting in significant gains in spectral efficiency, up to half or less MHz for the same throughput.
