As Division Vice President and General Manager for China, I am charged with driving Customer Success by managing all aspects of sales and marketing, customer service and field engineering in the region. I am also responsible for driving top-line annual growth, profitability and overall market share.
Most importantly, I lead these areas in alignment with the overall Panasonic Avionics business strategies to position the Company for China business growth, enhance our customer affinity and passenger experience on our IFEC solution while increasing sales and market share.
I have more than 30 years of experience in the inflight entertainment, avionics and connectivity market and wide industry knowledge about the connected aircraft ecosystem comprised of the cockpit, cabin and airport solutions. I’m especially proud of the strong relationships with Chinese airlines and OEMs that I have formed over the years.
In fact, “Happy customer, happy company and happy employee” is a motto that I live by in all of my professional endeavors.
I started my career in 1992 for a multinational corporation that provides avionics and IT systems and services to commercial, military and government sectors. There, I had the opportunity to contribute in a wide range of leadership positions, including customer sales engineer and regional sales manager for Asia and managing director for China.
I received my bachelor’s degree in engineering systems from the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom and an executive master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University.
I grew up in the international metropolis of Hong Kong. My wife and I have three children. Currently, my eldest son is studying at the University of Toronto. In my free time, I love playing golf; listening to jazz music; and traveling.
