Vice President and General Manager, Middle East, Central and Southern Asia, and Africa

The best leaders act in a legal, moral and ethical manner to accomplish their daily activities while being connected with their teams. As Vice President and General Manager of the Middle East, Central and Southern Asia, and Africa (MECSAA) region, I truly take this statement to heart each day.

I provide regional oversight for account management, customer support, sales, repairs and maintenance as well as media and creative services. This role allows me the opportunity to interface directly with regional human resources, finance, quality, information technology and customs compliance. I am also the accountable manager with Panasonic Avionics for the United Arab Emirates.

What drives me on a daily basis, though, is my relationship with our customers. I am proud to boast that many of our customers have been trusted and dedicated partners for more than a decade. The first audio video on demand system version 1.0 was delivered more than 20 years ago and they are still our valued Middle East customer today. I want to ensure we give our best ideas and strongest products to all our customers.

There’s no doubt that inflight entertainment communications is a very niche market with specialized knowledge that comes only with years of experience. I was lucky enough to learn different skills at two great companies for nearly 15 years in the industry. I hope to use that experience to drive innovation in partnership with our customers to create and deliver the best products.

I am also honored to serve as a U.S. Army Reserve Officer with the rank of Colonel (0-6) in the Civil Affairs. I have held several military command positions over the past 20 years. These honorable roles have been foundational career milestones and shaped my leadership and ability to conduct civilian business with a high-level of strategic acumen, resilience and operational excellence.

My career highlights over the past years include attending many first-ever flying product launches with customers. I was also selected to attend and graduated from the Panasonic UCLA Directors Education Program in 2015; and have spoken at several key industry tradeshows to discuss future trends in connectivity.

I received my bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from West Point and my master’s degree in strategy from the U.S. Army War College and also hold a master’s degree in information systems. When I’m not at the many Panasonic Avionics Corporations’ regional offices, I enjoy spending time with my wife of 20 years and our three sons. I have especially enjoyed watching my kids play sports in high school. On occasion, I also try to sneak in a golf game in between family and business.
